Through practical activities, role-playing games, simulations, and discussion, participants will explore:
different communication channels and codes (visual, tactile, symbolic, digital); the foundations of Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC); tools and supports to facilitate communication in educational and social contexts; and strategies for building accessible and welcoming communication environments for all.
The workshop aims to promote empathy, awareness, and respect for communication differences, valuing every form of expression as unique, valid, and meaningful.
Because everyone has the right to say, “This is how I communicate,” and we can all learn to respond, “And I understand you.”
