Explore how geometric curves, from classical Euclidean curves to more complex parametric forms, are fundamental tools for generating visual, functional, and symbolic harmony. The goal is to stimulate curiosity and awareness of the connection between science and art in the construction of space.
The conference explores the role of geometric curves in various aspects of life, with a visual and informative approach designed for high school students. Through historical and contemporary examples, the main types of curves (spirals, parabolas, catenaries) and their aesthetic and functional impact on buildings are analyzed. Concepts such as the golden ratio, Bézier curves, and digital modeling are introduced, demonstrating how mathematics underpins many design choices. The goal is to stimulate curiosity and awareness of the connection between science and art in the construction of space.

The properties of fabrics and their environmental impact are closely linked. Natural textile fibers, such as cotton, linen, and wool, are often considered more sustainable because they are biodegradable and produce less pollution during production. However, recycled synthetic fibers and some innovative fabrics can also offer sustainable alternatives. Choosing sustainable fabrics, whether natural, recycled, or innovative, is essential to reducing the textile sector's environmental impact, which includes water and soil pollution, water consumption, CO2 emissions, and the production of large quantities of waste. The laboratory studies various natural and synthetic fabrics through experimental activities that investigate their physical properties (strength, elasticity, absorbency).

The causes of the ecological crisis are underscored in the intertwining of life and science, religion and anthropology, unbridled economics and growing social poverty rigorously governed by logarithms.... Since 1972, the Club of Rome had warned of a growth that would impede development.
It had warned of the planet's insurmountable limits: a system that cannot tolerate being exploited beyond the limits of its regeneration, which requires prolonged periods, stable treatments, seasons, pauses, and a solidified equilibrium. It had clearly stated in summary that unlimited growth on a limited planet is destined to produce catastrophes. The promise of an "ecological transition" has been circulating for almost fifty years. The real problem lies in the undisciplined mentality of an economy that accepts no rules or external constraints. A total autonomy, impervious to ethics and even law. How, then, can we find a balance between the climate emergency and the uncontrolled level of economic profit? Subjugate and dominate? Or cultivate and protect the Earth? Everything is based on an integral ecology.
