Science and Territory

By: Silvia Casu (Head of the Communications Office of the Cagliari Astronomical Observatory), Luciano Colombo (UniCa Vice Rector for Research for Spin-offs and Start-ups in the Region), Cristian Galbiati (Head of the ARIA Scientific Project), Alberto Masoni (Research Director of the Einstein Telescope Project), Francesco Piludu (Cabinet Office of the Councilor for Planning, Budget, Credit, and Land Planning of the Autonomous Region of Sardinia). The meeting will be coordinated by Franca Rita Porcu, a freelance journalist.

Weaving is a daily practice in scientific research, intertwining the multiple threads that compose it, dynamically uniting and combining elements that would otherwise remain separate or isolated.
The roundtable, featuring representatives of scientific institutions and policymakers, will discuss the extraordinary opportunities offered by the intertwining threads of science. The goal is to place Sardinia at the center of a scientific and cultural fabric capable of overcoming the challenges inherent in its insularity, which so greatly impacts the development of our region.
Scientific research, thanks to its innate ability to generate knowledge and, consequently, innovation, represents the framework upon which to build concrete conditions for the growth of the region’s real wealth, by building relationships and places of innovation capable of generating development.
