Sharper 2025 – European Researchers’ Night

On Friday, September 26, the SHARPER – European Researchers’ Night event returns to Cagliari and 14 other Italian cities.
The ScienzaSocietàScienza Association is participating with two workshops:
– “Exploring Microworlds,” with Professors Daniela Fadda, Laura Bifulco, and Tiziana Tomasi, and students from the I.I.S. De Sanctis-Deledda Institute in Cagliari;
– “AstroLab and the Occultation of Betelgeuse by the Asteroid 319 Leona,” with Professors Antonello Tinti and Ernesto Porceddu, and students from the Liceo Scientifico Euclide in Cagliari.

WANGARI MUTA MAATHAI

[Ihithe, 1940 – Nairobi, 2011] Kenyan environmentalist and activist. In 2004 she was the first African woman to receive the Nobel Peace Prize. She was a Kenyan parliamentarian and Assistant Minister for Environment and Natural Resources in the government of President Mwai Kibaki, between January 2003 and November 2005.
