Special mention for the determination and grit with which she undertook her studies in relation to a disease, osteosarcoma, of which she herself was a patient in her adolescence and for her research studies aimed at identifying potential new pharmacological strategies based on the use of so-called “super-intelligent” anticancer drugs which act according to the principle of “synthetic lethality” to be proposed in the treatment of sarcoma and rare pediatric tumours.
