The ScienzaSocietàScienza Association will also be present this year with the “Salt and Science” workshop-exhibition at the Salt Harvesting Festival organized by the FAI from 09 to 17 September 2023 – Saline Conti Vecchi, industrial area Macchiareddu ASSEMINI (CA)

“Salt and Science” workshop-exhibition, Path for adults and children curated by Ivana Cocco, Valentina Devoto, Rossana Loddo, M. Vittoria Massidda, M. Cristina Mereu, Ignazio Usai ScienzaSocietàScienza Association – Cagliari FestivalScienza.

What types of salt are there? How is salt harvested? How is a crystal formed? A modular itinerary for families to discover technical tools, such as hydrometers, to measure salinity. Some descriptive panels illustrate the salt cycle.

WANGARI MUTA MAATHAI

Ihithe, 1940 – Nairobi, 2011

Kenyan environmentalist and activist. In 2004 she was the first African woman to receive the Nobel Peace Prize. She was a Kenyan parliamentarian and Assistant Minister for Environment and Natural Resources in the government of President Mwai Kibaki, between January 2003 and November 2005.

Wangari Muta Maathai was presented by students Elena Cabras and Bianca Nioteni from the Pacinotti Scientific High School, Cagliari.
