The call for the 2024 edition of the Art&Science competition is online.

The call is reserved for students of artists’ high schools and graphic high schools in all Italian regions.

The submissions must be delivered in paper and electronic form to the teacher in charge of the School by 9 June 2024 together with personal data, the class attended and the reference teacher. In each institute, a maximum of ten works will be selected by a special commission established within the school which will send them by ordinary mail or by email to segreteria@festivalscienzacagliari.it by 9 June 2024.

WANGARI MUTA MAATHAI

Ihithe, 1940 – Nairobi, 2011

Kenyan environmentalist and activist. In 2004 she was the first African woman to receive the Nobel Peace Prize. She was a Kenyan parliamentarian and Assistant Minister for Environment and Natural Resources in the government of President Mwai Kibaki, between January 2003 and November 2005.

Wangari Muta Maathai was presented by students Elena Cabras and Bianca Nioteni from the Pacinotti Scientific High School, Cagliari.
